ICS-300 Intermediate ICS for Expanding Incidents

This course is designed to provide  overall incident management skills rather than tactical 
expertise. Topics discussed will include the implementation of the ICS process on expanding incidents, incident type definitions, development of an Incident Action Plan, matching capabilities to Incident complexity, the when & how to add appropriate ICS positions to match incident complexity, and the use of Incident Management Teams.

Target Audience: Emergency Management, Municipal Officials, School Officials, Fire, EMS, Law Enforcement, and any other individual  that may have to perform in a supervisory capacity during a major event, emergency, or disaster either man-made or natural, planned or unplanned.

Prerequisites:

• ICS-200: ICS for Single Resources and Initial Action Incidents, -OR- 

• NIMS ICS for the Fire Service NFA (NICS-FS), -OR-

• Incident Command System NFA (ICS), -OR-

• NIMS ICS for Emergency Medical Services (NICS-EMS), -OR-

• Incident Command System for Emergency Medical Services NFA (ICS/EMS) 

• an equivalent course(s) accredited by the Emergency Management Institute (EMI), 

National Fire Academy (NFA), National Wildland Coordinating Group (NWCG), US 

Coast Guard (USCG), or the National Park Service (NPS).

• NIMS An Introduction (IS-700)

September 24, 25, & 26, 2013 – 8 am to 5 pm Daily

Course materials and Lunches will be provided
